'Proteus Talos'
54cm x 19cm x 19cm - Carved from a single piece of oak, this is the largest in the 'Talos' series. Talos was the giant bronze Cretian man sent by Zeus to look over and protect Crete from marauders and invaders and is a symbol of strength and grounded poise. Proteus meanwhile was a shape changing sea God and, as with this sculpture in the 'Talos' series, appears different from every alternative angle.
