'Lyre'

'Lyre'

£1,000.00Price

Approx 27cm x 16cm - A pair of sculptures; 'Lyre' is one piece of wood that was split -not cut- in two separate halves. Each half fits together, one inside the other. This piece has been called 'Lyre' due to the intricate harp like nature of the grain pattern in the ash.

Be it Ying / Yang, male / female etc, this piece represents opposites which co-exist to form a singular entity more powerful than its individual parts. Two halves that push and pull, constantly in a state of flux, seeking harmony.  Imperfectly perfect in their balance, shape and desire to both attract and repel.
