'Lancing Beach'

33cm x 13cm - A stack of stones carved from a single piece of oak that was inspired by an actual stack created on Lancing beach in the early Summer of '24
 
This piece has been scuffed then smooth to create a pale, flat finish. It has no oil and no wax and remains entirely raw and natural. Leaving a piece exposed in this way has become increasingly important in my work and allows people to interact with the object itself. You are invited to witness the slowly changing nature of the piece and the inevitable aging that all organic matter goes through in its great life journey
