'Hastings Beach'

26cm x 15cm - A stack of stones carved from a single piece of air dried oak. The shape of this stack is inspired by a pile of actual stones that was made on Hastings beach in the Summer of '24
 
This piece has been scuffed then smooth to create a pale, flat finish. It has no oil and no wax and remains entirely raw and natural. Leaving a piece exposed in this way has become increasingly important in my work and allows people to interact with the object itself. You are invited to witness the slowly changing nature of the piece and the inevitable aging that all organic matter goes through in its great life journey
